My Ocean

I will trust you with my life,

Fall back into your arms,

Trusting you won’t bring me any harm.

With a grasp on all that was,

And all that will be,

A string of light between us.

A candle dancing through the shadows,

A bird carried by the wind,

An intimacy this trust creates.

No matter how paper-thin we may be,

We bend, but do not break.

As we sway in this breeze,

Drifting once more,

Into our ocean.

Caution dissolves,

As love returns,

To the place it was always meant to be.
